GMS Peers into the Future at LNG Shipping & Terminals Conference

Director Capt. Igor Toncic, along with the Global Maritime Services Limited team, attended the LNG Shipping & Terminals Conference in London earlier this month.

On the first day, Capt. Igor Toncic participated in a round table session on ‘New safety initiatives to avoid the next accident’ led by Capt. Jonathan Shea, Chief SHEQ Officer of Nakilat- Qatar Gas Transport Company.

Panel sessions continued the second and final day of the LNG Shipping & Terminals conference. Marko Stokov, Global Maritime Services Limited’s Principal Expert on inspections, interacted with the ‘SIRE 2.0: a regulatory perspective on implications for the industry’ panel. The agenda included an overview of the changes and requirements for LNG vessel operators, and a walk-through of the new inspection regime.

Hosted by Riviera Maritime Media, the two-day conference served as a platform for active dialogue between members of the global LNG community, including terminals and vessel owners, energy security experts, non-governmental organizations, government representatives, and service providers.
